The ‘Werewolf’ Teen Who Strangled Tinder Date For Fun
At around 9 p.m. on July 23, 2018, emergency services in Melbourne, Australia received a disturbing call. A 19-year-old woman said: “I think I killed someone. I didn’t want to, but I did it.”
Constable Luke Colcuan, who was on the phone line, went straight to the usual scenario. Perhaps she’d had to take a life in self-defense. He tried to calm the woman down and asked her what happened.
She said: “He didn’t seem scared. I strangled him. He’s on my bed. It feels so good.”
Luke could not believe what he was hearing. This was a m*rder confession. He asked the woman, “Have you actually done that?” To which the woman replied: “You never believe me. Why don’t you believe me?”
This was a strange thing for a woman to tell an officer. Except Luke thought the voice was familiar, too. And when he visited the address, he realized his hunches were right.
This was 19-year-old Jamie Lee Dolheguy. Luke and his team, the Sunbury P.D., had been at her address many times.
Jamie Lee’s neighbors phoned dozens of times to report noise disturbances and violent outbursts. Jamie Lee was violent and unpredictable, and she had scared her carers from coming to her home anymore.
Her increasingly violent crimes were cries for help, but no one was there to help her anymore. She had scared them all into hiding.
Now, the worst had happened, and Melbourne authorities had to piece her story together. As it goes in cases like this, the only thing we can do is analyze the case and use the story to prevent other similar tragedies from happening.
