Excerpt: Afterwards - (Please read description)
Hi, dear followers.
This time, a slightly different video than you are used to from me. Don't worry, I'm not going to overload you with novel videos for the time being, although there are plans to make chapter videos in the future on this, or maybe a second channel. But this seems so relevant, and besides being a nature lover, I am also an author with a mission. ☺
I'm sharing this excerpt because some readers of my books have pointed out to me, how many events from the first chapters alone, of my debut Novel: Afterwards, have shocking comparisons with what is happening in the world today. Even though it was meant to be dystopian, or speculative fiction. Note: I wrote Afterwards in 2021!
This video is a special compilation of parts from Chapter 1, where the world-building has quite a few eerie comparisons, and I can't tell you how many times I've had that deja vu feeling in the past 3 years because of the follow-up books: Forwards and Backwards, also have many recognizable comparisons.
I genuinely hope that the reason why the protagonist; Alexandra, had to flee her home country, does not become a reality, but as a dystopian writer, I think I understood the assignment to point out what could happen if it did. At the same time, I felt compelled to emphasize the importance of resisting the divisions created by the chaos and looking for solutions to come together in the future.
