In this video, I go over the process of replacing the original BGA Core 2 Duo CPU in a Late-2009 Apple Mac Mini with a CPU socket, and upgrading the machine to a 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo T9900. My only concern when starting this project was that the original CPU heatsink may not fit on properly, but to my surprise, it ended up fitting on just fine without having to modify it at all. With a CPU socket now installed, this machine is now the first fully upgradeable Late-2009 Mac Mini!
