How to Re-Program a CF Card for Greater System Compatibility
In this video, I go over the process of re-programming the firmware of an SM2236-based compact flash card to allow it to work properly on the IDE bus of a much larger array of systems, including allowing it to work properly as a boot disk. Interestingly, in the process, I discovered that the particular CF card I got, despite being sold as a 128GB card, actually had 256GB of capacity after being programmed.
