Powered by Powercast - Episode 9 - Long Distance Power Transfer
Powercast is pushing what is possible with RF wireless power. We powered a Bluetooth NanoBeacon from InPlay at distance of 120 feet. The beacon would fire more often when we were closer to the transmitter, and would beacon once every minute at the longer distance. Our previous distance was powering a IoT device from 80 feet. These lower powered devices are making it possible to have more connected devices in more places. You no longer have to worry about running a wire or the accessibility to change the battery.
