Exocet Vs Miata
Not my best lap in either. lap was taken from my first track event in the Exocet, but still a good comparison of the Exocet vs the old car used as a donor (NA 1990 1.6). Engine is stock (rebuilt), better suspension, tires, alignment, bushings, ect in the Exocet.
800lbs makes a difference!
Since this video I have gotten better tires, made some suspension changes, and most importantly have gotten better with the car. I have taken another 3-4 seconds off (in the 1:20 range now). Still, I think it is fair to say that an Exocet with stock power is 5 more seconds faster than a stock Miata on most race tracks.
