The War with the Newts: Is humanity its own worst enemy?
After an intelligent breed of newts is discovered off an island in the Pacific, they are quickly put to use to find pearls for tools. They are eventually exploited for other uses by humanity like underwater mining and as a coastal defense. However, when humanity becomes fully reliant on the newts, the tables turn, but due to countries, borders, and cultural differences, humanity is unable to come together. This leads us to pose the question: "Is humanity its own worst enemy?"
