In 2021, the 76th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War is celebrated. On this occasion, in many cities of Russia and other post-Soviet countries, solemn events are held, including military parades. More than 12.5 thousand people walked along the streets of the Capital, on Red Square in Moscow this year. Also, 190 pieces of equipment, 76 aircraft and helicopters were involved in the main parade. The Victory Day parade was completed by an aviation flight over Red Square. This year, the flight was opened by three heavy military transport helicopters Mi-26, which happened for the first time in the history of parades in the capital, since it is a difficult task to drive three heavy helicopters in a single formation. Then five multipurpose Mi-8 helicopters flew in the air, and the Mi-35, Ka-52 "Alligator" and Mi-28N "Night Hunter" attack helicopters closed the flight. In addition, three Il-76 aircraft, Tu-160 and Tu-95MS strategic bombers capable of carrying cruise missiles, as well as two Il-78 and Tu-160 tanker aircraft, four Su-35S fighters, front-line Su-24 bombers, the latest Su-57 fighters and other aviation equipment.
The parade ended with the flight of six Su-25 attack aircraft, which painted the sky in the capital in the colors of the Russian tricolor.
