Identifying stress in children
Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. However, there are some common signs of stress in children. Knowing these will help you help your child.
Signs of stress in children: change in eating habits, change in sleeping habits, difficulty concentrating, restlessness/irritability, returning to behaviors they have outgrown, unexplained headaches or body pain, poor school performance, avoidance of activities enjoyed in the past.
Certain levels of stress are normal. Reassure your child that you will get through it together.
