When it comes to weight loss, are you for or against alcohol? Here’s an interesting anecdote - I lost ten pounds when I first stopped drinking it.

Here are some reasons why:
Alcohol consumption increases the stress hormone, cortisol and chronically increased cortisol levels lead to fat accumulation

It also increases estrogen and decreases progesterone - also not good for fat loss

It leads to suboptimal thyroid activity which is your main metabolic driver

Alcohol Decreases testosterone and is also catabolic which isn’t good for your muscles.

It depletes your b vitamins and electrolytes

It destroys your sleep

And alcohol depletes glycine and impairs it’s function.

It's also horrible for your liver, especially if you're consuming pufas, this will further disrupt your thyroid and slow your Metabolic rate.

Dropping alcohol is literally one of the easiest ways to lose weight. It’s been two years since I’ve had more than a sip and I couldn’t be happier about it. Give it a shot. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
