I recently got a new laptop and I noticed I couldn't get my AVI media to work in Sony Vegas so I looked on my old computer to see what I was missing...turns out it was DivX when you download it you can choose to install the DivX Codec this then enables you to import AVI files into Vegas! I don't think you need the player or anything so if you just want the codec you can choose just to download that.
