UNFPA Philippines takes leadership pledge
UNFPA Philippines echoed the leadership pledge taken by senior management of UNFPA and its different country offices during a Global Leadership Meeting 2023 in Almaty, Kazakhstan last May.
Country Representative Dr. Leila Joudane, who attended the event, cascaded lessons from the meeting, which discussed how to make UNFPA more future-fit and drive progress towards achieving its mandate in an ever-changing world.
During the Global Leadership Meeting, UNFPA officers led meeting participants towards a collective promise called the Almaty Pledge. The Pledge encompassed nine commitments, including vows to be open-minded, to create inclusive environments and to always advocate for rights for all.
