Balcony Design: How to design your balcony - several tips
In today's reality, where the prices of land are rising to the point that it is almost impossible for the average person to purchase a private home, the porch/ balcony is rapidly taking the place of the classical garden.
We witness a growing investment in the designing of porches/ balconies, in order to incorporate the look and feel of an actual private home garden.
At the end of the day, we all love coming home to some peace and quiet, preferably surrounded with the ambience of nature.

Designing a space always begins with furniture.

1. A Beautiful and comfortable collection of outdoor furniture, creates a pleasant and cozy atmosphere.
2. As stated before, The porch has come to take the place of the classical private garden. As such, the synthetic grass is making its way to our porch, giving it a green essence and most importantly, with no waste of water and very easy to clean.
3. Use different accessories to add that special touch: plants and flowers, lighting fixtures and lamps, colorful ornamental pillows, wind chimes and more.
4. There is a true relaxing vibe achieved by running water. Therefore, I would recommend adding a small water fall, exactly as you would in a garden. You can find a large variety of water falls, according to your own individual taste and space limitations. According to the Chinese theory of feng shui, running water is linked to abundance.
5. The simple and boring porch railing can easily be treated as another decorative element buy using "Splanties"- the flexible planter. The product comes in a compact package and is very easy to use. You can get Splanties in various sizes, to fit your own special design. Splanties can be used for flowers, plants and of course for growing herbs and vegetables. In this instance, another major attribute of a garden, is translated in to a once ordinary porch!
6. For final touches, place larger plants, trees and climbers to fill which ever remaining space you wish to design.
