I gave this talk as part of the Sussex Universe series of public lectures, giving a broad overview of nanoscience, nanomaterials, and their applications.
I discuss what it means for something to be "nanoscale", how we can "see" the nano world, and finally we go on a guided safari to see what tiny materials we can find, and identify where they can have a big impact on our lives.
A big thanks to the Sussex Universe team ( / sussexuniverse ) for inviting me to take part; the lecture was great fun to give. Another big thanks to Julian of http://yada-yada.net/ for recording and editing the talk.
