BounceBud by Cem Olcay for is a physics-based midi generator for iPad, iPhone and M1 Mac. This is a spoken walkthrough, demo and review of the app, loaded in AUM on an iPad. There are a few midi generators like this around - Collider & Particles from the Rozeta Suite by Bram Bos, for example, or Physicles by Rodrigo Roman. These apps all use some kind of model of physical balls moving in space to generate midi.

🔶 Commentary:
As you will see in this video, BounceBud has a few features that make it unique enough to consider purchasing even if you have these others. One really cool thing is that resizing the plugin is actually similar to changing the dimensions of the space within which the balls move - these other apps do not do that. Another great feature is the ability to select exactly which notes can be triggered on each of the 4 walls.
Although note durations are related to bpm in the host, the timing of the balls itself does not seem to be synced to beat. That makes it great for ambient stuff. If I wanted something for more synced midi generation I would probably reach for Collider or Particles first.
