Patachitra is a unique folk tradition of visual storytelling accompanied by songs performed the Patuas. The painters are called Patua and bear the surname – Chitrakar.
Patua artists Rupban (known also as Swarna) Chitrakar and Manoranjan Chitrakar visited communities on the Thames Estuary to share their storytelling tradition, along with Ruchira Das from Think Arts.
