NHLBI Senior Investigator, Michael Sack, M.D., Ph.D., is a cardiologist who specializes in modifications of proteins that play pivotal roles in metabolism and mitochondrial function. Through his research, he has studied how caloric restriction and fasting impacts inflammatory diseases.
