How to get Count of Words in Excel
This video explains how we can calculate the number of words in a text string in Microsoft Excel. I have used the LEN Function to calculate total characters. Then Substitute function is used to delete all the blank space characters. Count of space characters is calculated by subtracting the length of text string without spaces from the length of text string with spaces. The Count of Words is finally calculated by adding 1 to the number of space characters.
