Hello,
Hell, I am so happy you are stopping by
This is in a music video style.
In the lyrics, I heard, "memories will be tatters on your soul" instead of "tattoos on your soul"
Anyway, I decided to stay with the images of the bunting flags flailing to the rhythm as tatters.
Tatters seem like something one can discard in place of new ones, whereas tattoos are too permanent...
The 'dray away' reminds me of the process of a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis… while its wings appear folded or crinkled, the butterfly, to complete the emerging process, must expand and dry its wings before flight is possible. (I'm sure there is a video of it somewhere on YouTube)
Here are the Lyrics for Dry Away
Dust of moss
And the taste of loss
A grey cold storm
Birds in swirls up there
One last chime
Echoes lost in time
Visions like waves
Float around the nave
Tears gonna dry in the sun
Scars will heal on their own
Memories will be tattoos (tatters ;) on your soul
Years will give back what they stole
Dry away
Crack a grin
Pink sun warms your skin
Riding a train
Right down memory lane
Tears gonna dry in the sun
Scars will heal on their own
Memories will be tattoos (tatters ;) on your soul
Years will give back what they stole
