Tutorial - How to attach a sun shade, sun sail to a Pergola
This is a simple solution to attaching a sun shade or sun sail to a pergola. I have a 14' x 14' Pergola and have put a 10' x 13' Sunshade underneath it. I purchased appropriately sized eye hooks and turnbuckles that made this a super easy project. You need to know your lengths though, so be prepared before you head to the hardware store so you can get exactly what you need in a single trip. In my situation all I needed were 4- eye hook screws and 2 - 1/4" x 7 1/2" hook hook Turnbuckles. Easy Peasey. If your measurements are different than mine you could get lengths of chain to extend the lengths and maybe some S-hooks or Quick Links. All this hardware is available at Lowes or most hardware stores.
