Out of Sync Lonely Salmon
Is this normal? A very tired and beat up looking salmon swims slowly against the current at Big Qualicum River----on May 16th, 2017. I always believed the salmon returned in the fall, and succumbed to one of four inevitable deaths before, during or after the journey: predation (including fishing), exhaustion or a natural expiry after having successfully or unsuccessfully spawned.
