But he is a hybrid vampire / human, a Daywalker who can withstand the sunlight. His sidekick is Kris Kristofferson and his nemesis is played by Stephen Dorff, the legendary Udo Kier also in the cast. It spawned two sequels (the second directed by Guillermo Del Toro), plus a series.
This is one of the best vampire opening scenes ever! Perfectly matched with the NEW ORDER track 'Confusion' (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix).
For better or worse, like other '90s classics (including THE CROW), BLADE is getting a remake in 2025.
