Global Budo Builders Workshop
The Global Budo Builders workshop was a collaborative session organized by Meishinkan Kenjutsu and Tokushikai Canada.
The purpose was to bring together a diverse group of budo practitioners and have structured conversations about what is meaningful to us in our experience, how we might make a bigger impact in our community, and flex our creative muscles in achieving our goals.
The 2-hour session was built around the idea of the "Builder's Mentality", a framework we designed that helps individuals identify and start a budo related project:
1) Start by understanding what people love about their budo experience
2) Visualize all the barriers (from all perspectives) to making these experiences more common
3) Reflect on what you are uniquely capable of contributing
4) Start with small, low-risk experiments

Nearly everyone stayed behind after the 2-hour session for another 1-hour of jamming on the ideas that were generated in the session.
