How to analyze a market? How to choose a market niche? And, most importantly, how to define your strategy (competitive advantage) to win in business? These and other questions can be answered with the help of Porter's Competitive Strategy theory, which is based on 5 forces, also known as Porter's Five Forces.

Understanding this strategy also allows you to understand the movements made by large companies in the market, such as Apple.

In this video, in addition to discussing Porter's Five Forces, I provide practical examples so you can solidify your understanding and learn how to implement Porter's Five Forces.

Remember that Michael Porter has been a professor at Harvard University for several decades and was one of the pioneers in teaching competitive strategy.

The 3 pillars of content on this channel are: life purpose, strategy, and productivity. One leads to the other in personal development.

It all starts with understanding your purpose. This means discovering what you were born to do (ikigai), because that's where all the internal motivation to keep going, despite the difficulties, comes from. It's self-knowledge, knowing what you're good at, discovering your unique strengths.

Secondly, it's necessary to develop a personal strategy, because purpose doesn't fulfill itself. You need to be a strategist to know how to use your time and energy intelligently.

And, of course, we need to make it happen! That's why I bring a lot of content about personal and professional productivity.

I am Professor Vitor Pinho. I teach knowledge management to postgraduate students, I am a tax auditor, former consultant at Deloitte (where I provided consulting services to the largest multinational companies operating in Brazil), and I have passed 5 public service exams.
