I'm making a super simple (and kinda fun) fit adjustment on a pair of slacks I snagged for just £3 second-hand. These bad boys are originally from Marks & Spencer’s—the waist was a bit too baggy, but I've got a weird solution to make 'em fit...
In this video, I’ll show you how to:
Use pleats to bring in the waist (because nobody wants to mess with the back rise)
Adjust the waistband without removing it completely
What you’ll need:
A pair of loose slacks (like my beautiful charity shop find)
Basic sewing tools (blade, pins, basting thread, etc.)
Basic sewing skills (mix of hand sewing and machine sewing for this one)
About 30 minutes to do the work
We’ll cover everything from cutting the bar-tacks on the belt loops to repositioning the waistband and even sewing the button back on.
If you’ve got any questions, drop ‘em in the comments—I’m here to help.
