Continuing to re-define the shape and sound of his work, Austin-based multi-instrumentalist Neil Lord returns as new age/krautrock veteran Future Museums with an all electronic album titled Pre-Form. After spending a year-and-a-half on the road playing guitar and keys for singer-songwriters Molly Burch (Captured Tracks) and Jess Williamson (Mexican Summer), Lord re-engaged with his experimental roots for an immersive synth-based excursion inspired by his own lucid dreams and out-of-body experiences. As a member of the bands Single Lash, Thousand Foot Whale Claw and various other projects, Lord's output is both prolific and stylistically diverse, however, Future Museums has been his longtime personal alias for kosmische explorations and ambient compositions.
