step one join a grand company through main story its mandatory
step two talk to the company commander accept my little chocobo quest
step three complete the main story quest after joining the grand company to get your seals to buy the issuance. must go to waking sands to complete the main story quest use teleport tickets given to you to get there faster.
step four return to your grand company talk to the quarter master and under material section buy your issuance
step five go to the chocobo stables check your map to find the location its close to the adventures guild
step six talk to the stable keeper and get your mount and name him or her
step seven use the whistle to acquire the mount
step eight go to the open world under main menu character section mount guide select your mount u have available. set it to hotbar so u can have easy access to it.
