Abstract: SUSE is the operating system market leader for SAP HANA. SUSE is also leading in the area of dynamic software updates, a technology allowing administrators to patch systems without the need of an application restart or even reboot. The Live Patching technology allows you to update the Linux Kernel without a reboot. But how does it work, what are the benefits and what does it look like when live patching the Linux Kernel powering an SAP system? This session provides a quick overview on the topic and then demonstrates the technology with a full blown SAP system on top.
