I know I’m not alone here: Films, books, TV shows, video games; stories in general take up a disturbing proportion of my life.
As an only child, while you were all out learning about the world with your siblings I…wasn’t. My friends were in screens.
I’m a bit older now, and if anything, I’ve just gone further down the rabbit hole.
I’ve started to learn the nuts and bolts of story; the craft behind the magic we all feel as we binge our favourite dark corner of Netflix. Just like a great plot twist, where new insight allows you to see all preceding events with new perspective, understanding the inner workings of these machines of emotion has only deepened my appreciation.
So I’m here to share that, to discuss the little bits I know, to learn more of what I don’t, and find a community who share my interest…and perhaps…make more friends in screens.
