To think just after I got myself a PS3 and a HD telly I learnt about cables and so I am able to give my PS2 a new lease of life. I am really surprised there is not already a video like this on YouTube.
Not sure if SCART is availible in the US but beter quality can still be acived using S-video or for the very best component. Apparently the PS2 supports 480p enhanced definition (ED) with some games but for some reason SCART does not support that and my TV despite being HD does not have the necessary component inputs. The Wii also comes with a Sucky composite lead so it can also benefit from a SCART upgrade and many more games support ED on the Wii so get component leads if you can.
Surprisingly even the PS3 comes with a composite so even if you only have an SD telly get yourself a SCART lead to make the most of it.
