Mobile ALOHA from Stanford University is a new mobile manipulation robot, designed for bimanual and whole-body control.
Researchers first used a teleoperation interface to collect data on complex tasks such as sautéing and serving a piece of shrimp, opening a two-door wall cabinet to store heavy cooking pots, and lightly rinsing a used pan using a kitchen faucet.
Next, they performed supervised behavior cloning, before allowing the robot to complete the tasks autonomously.
