The 8th annual James E. Clyburn Health Disparities Lecture was presented by The USC Arnold School of Public Health and the Institute for Partnerships to Eliminate Health Disparities. The lecture featured its namesake, U.S. Representative James E. Clyburn, as the keynote speaker, and was held on Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Hilton Columbia Center, 924 Senate St. Columbia, SC.

Congressman Clyburn represents South Carolina’s 6th Congressional District and was elected to Congress in 1992. He was selected co-president of his freshman class and continued fulfilling various leadership roles. In 1999, he was elected chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, and he became the House Democratic Caucus Vice Chair in 2002. He is the Assistant Democratic Leader for the 114th congress.
