Are you an upcoming recording artist? Doing basic (bedroom) recordings? Then this tutorial is for you! Get some nice clean audio with just a few simple steps and resources.
Most of this stuff you can get at your local hardware store. The hoop you'll have to get from a sewing shop or similar.
Here are the things you'll need:
Embroidery Hoop
Illumination Cable
Cable Cover
Cable Ties
Garden Hose Clamp
Stockings
Tools needed:
Screw Driver/Multitool
Side Cutters
Steps:
1. Measure the length of the illumination cable to roughly 25cm
2. Cut the cable and cable cover to the desired length
3. Cover the cable with cover
4. Take out inner ring of the embroidery hoop
5. Slide stocking all the way over the inner ring and tie in a tight knot
6. Reassemble the hoop and fasten tightly
7. Attach illumination cable to mic stand (if applicable) and fasten tightly
8. Cable tie hoop to other end of illumination cable with cable/zip tie
9. Cut off excess part of the cable tie
