How to turn a drawing into a sculpture | ft. Aaron Curry | ArtDrunk
We popped by Aaron Curry's LA studio for a quick tutorial on how he turns an idea into a sculpture. He starts by intuitively sketching out a form, before tracing it onto a Lucky Charms cereal box, then cuts out the shapes and assembles them together.
From here, these maquettes are developed further before he transcribes the forms onto his iPad for a digital rendering that can be sent off to the foundry to be created out of metal.
