Begonia Care Tips
The genus is named in honor of the Governor of Haiti, M. Begon (1638–1710).
Begonias include annual and perennial herbs, shrubs, or subshrubs with creeping or tuberous thickened rhizomes, sometimes with a tuber. The leaves are usually asymmetrical, often beautifully colored. The flowers are irregular, unisexual, and monoecious. The tepals are unequal and brightly colored.
