What? How? Why The Burkehaven Fountain Pen?
The Burkehaven pen measures just under 5½” long with a barrel thickness of under ½ inch. It weighs about 1½ ounces (42.5 grams) depending upon the material used comes in three distinct platings: 24kt Gold, Chrome, and Gunmetal. While I have many exotic hardwoods to choose from, three wood/plating combinations go very well together featured in my Dave's Faves for Burkehaven on my website.
We offer the Burkehaven pen as a fountain pen in addition to the standard rollerball version. The Rollerball version uses a Schneider 888 rollerball refill, which gives a smooth writing experience. The fountain pen uses a #6 medium steel nib coated with Iridium for a reliable, long-lasting writing tip. We supply each fountain pen with the standard ink cartridge and an ink pump that the owner can refill themselves from an ink bottle.
