Halo 3 Scarab Launch Glitch [With Tutorial]
Here's a glitch that I found and perfected way back when I got Halo 3.
Using this, you can launch yourself out of The Covenant onto the mountains surrounding the Scarab Battle area.
(I'm obviously not the 1st person to find it, but I'm posting this because I seem to be the only one who knows how to do it right)
Tutorial:
Start a game on The Covenant on any difficulty (You can start at "Rally Point Bravo" if you don't want to play through the whole thing.)
Rush through to the part with the Scarabs and quickly go to where the Hornets land.
Get in any Hornet and fly straight towards the big black spot on the left (where the Scarab is going to land).
As soon as you get there, get out of your hornet, fall onto the Scarab, and run around to the back (where the orange thing with the shield is). Don't worry about the enemies. They are still inside the Scarab and won't bother you for a few more seconds.
Destroy the shield with a nade or melee then, while standing on the left of the orange thing, shoot the hell out of it until it is destroyed.
The amount of damage that needs to be dealt depends on difficulty
If done correctly, you will launch very quickly to the mountain side on your right. If done incorrectly, or from the wrong Scarab, you will launch either through the ground, or out of the bounds of the map and die (a very colorful and stretchy death). If you are too slow, the Scarab will just be destroyed like normal.
