It chapter 2 review - comparing the 90's ending as well...
I was wrong the 90's version is not 6 hours either, the new film is longer even in 2 parts comparing to the 90's runtime of 192 or 187 minutes on DVD.
I will the add the CG FX are better overall in the first film. At times I felt some heavy CG scenes felt overused and unrealistic looking comparing the first film to this film which is never good. The 2nd should always be MORE epic. For example John Wick got bigger and better with every scene where as this movie did not. I was amazed at just how well the CG blended in with Pennywise in the first but was overblown and more obvious in the final film which is a damn shame. If this movie did not exist and it really did end with the first film, I'd be completely satisfied with how it ended. This is just more of that except they are adults and go in with a plan on how to end him forever... that's the only difference. Was it better, no.
