Ada Wong || Ex's and Oh's
I REALLY SHOULD GO WORKING ON THE BIRTHDAY COLLABS THAT I HAVE TO FINISH IN A FEW WEEKS! But instead, I keep editing other stuff, ah ah ah.
But anyway, I'm very, very happy to have finished this video, which I had been working on for some time. We come back to Resident Evil, on a character that I have not yet edited, but that I loooooooooooooove so much : Ada Wong.
Ada Wong is one of the main female characters in Resident Evil. And she's... just AMAZING. Beautiful, badass, mysterious, smart, sarcastic, she have everything lol. And in games, let's be honest: all men want her, for one reason or another, and it's perfectly legitimate, who wouldn't want a woman like her?
To quickly explain who she is, Ada Wong is, in the Resident Evil universe, she's a Chinese spy whose origins and true allegiance has remained a mystery for over 20 years. Relatively little is known about her, where she is from, or even if Ada Wong is her real name. But we know that she is terribly effective in her spy/mercenary work. At first, she worked for Derek Simmons, before betraying him, probably because he was in love with her and was getting painful with her, since she was not interested. At that time, in 1998, she also had a relationship with an Umbrella employee, a certain John Clemens (or John Howe in the RE books), who died during the outbreak of the Arklay Mansion, but she also apparently worked for Albert Wesker, who sent her in September 1998, when Raccoon City was sinking, to found the G-Virus for him. On this occasion, she met Leon Kennedy, a young police officer who spent his first day on the job killing zombies and with whom she will have an ambiguous relationship over the years.
I focused the video on Ada's relationship with Leon, Wesker and Simmons. Small points, however, on how I feel about each of her relationships:
Ada/Leon: They're more or less one of RE's only canon ships, but honestly for me that's a big NOTP, even though it's a NOTP I have no hate for. I didn't mind editing them in this video dedicated to Ada, but overall I think Ada and Leon are not meant to be together at all, that they are terribly incompatible and will never be able to give each other what they want and what they need. And if I'm being honest, I find their relationship a bit boring, especially over the years. Nonetheless, this is a ship that I understand why others may appreciate them and I have no hatred towards the ship itself!
Ada/Wesker: Headcanon ship but this is my OTP for Ada (thanks to you, Alexia AH AH!). I also hope that my Wonesker manips are clear lol. I just love the dynamic their relationship could have had, that it already has in truth. They are both ambitious, cunning, resourcefulness (two true little Slytherin in truth lol), it's not for nothing that they have worked together for years. There are lots of little details in the games that give substance to the potential of this ship, and I'm hooked for these two lol it would have made an explosive, very sensual and intense relationship.
Ada/Simmons: I edited them here just because it fit the song and the idea of the video a lot, but god this man is a perv and a monster and even though I don't ship the Aeon at all, I was very, very relieved that it was Leon holding Ada in his arms when she was unconscious and there was this pervert walking up to her in RE6.
Also, I got the idea to make this video after my friend Maria did this AMAZING video about Elizabeth Swann with the same song, which I was very inspired by (inspired by?
