Cyclone Michaung was a severe cyclonic storm that formed over the Bay of Bengal in early December 2023. It made landfall on the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam on December 5, 2023, with maximum sustained wind speeds of up to 110 km/h. The cyclone caused widespread damage and disruption to life in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
