Fluorosurfactants are used in the manufacture of some fluoropolymers. As part of the PFAS family of chemicals, they represent a challenge for the industry globally. In Spinetta Marengo, Syensqo now only manufactures limited quantities of a next generation fluorosurfactant named C6O4, while we transition to non-fluorosurfactant technology.
