Christina Efthymiou is a Cyprus-based musician with a passion for pushing the boundaries of classical contemporary music. She honed her craft through rigorous education, earning her BMus (Hons) in Music and an MMus in Advanced Musical Studies, specializing in flute performance and composition, at Royal Holloway University of London, under the tutelage of Carla Rees. Christina’s journey has taken her from performing with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra on prestigious stages like the Vatican in Rome, Italy, to collaborating with acclaimed artists such as Nami Malumad and The Tippett Quartet. Her innovative spirit extends to her compositions, including ‘αήρ,’ a striking piece for a diverse ensemble. Christina’s music education, performance prowess, and contemporary approach have made her a dynamic vigour in the world of music, continually pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
