How to Tame an Acrocanthosaurus:
Preferred Food:
Exceptional Kibble
Raw Mutton
Cooked Lamb Chop
Raw Prime Meat
Cooked Prime Meat
Raw Prime Fish Meat
Cooked Prime Fish Meat
Raw Meat
Cooked Meat
Raw Fish Meat
Cooked Fish Meat
Taming Method:
The Acrocanthosaurus is immune to ranged tranquilizers, so you’ll need to feed it Narcoberries, Narcotics, or Bio Toxin when it roars in frustration. Place the Narcotic in the last slot of your hotbar, run up inside its mouth, and aim for the top jaw to feed it. Using a Fabricated Sniper Rifle helps count the shots needed to put it into its shield stance and activate its adrenaline.
Combat Strategy:
General:
The Acrocanthosaurus is a formidable opponent with its shield stance and Adrenaline buff. It's best to fight it while mounted.
Strategy:
Use a creature with a similar or larger drag weight to minimize damage. Inflict 10% of its health to enable its shield stance and escape if necessary.
Weaponry:
Fight with a creature to avoid activating its adrenaline, which significantly increases its damage output.
Dangers:
Beware of its increased damage when adrenaline-activated. Its shield bash can knock back creatures, so watch out for environmental hazards.
