Its trade show season and sales reps have targets lists in Excel of companies they want to target for the show. They have asked their Salesforce administrator to take this list of companies and find the related contacts that exist in Salesforce for these companies. You may have solved this in the past using vlookups to find the Salesforce Account Id based on a match on the name. Then you created a custom checkbox on the account that you updated so you can identify and filter for these accounts in a report and get the contacts. Super inefficient process that is not a scalable solution!
We have a recommendation to streamline the process for both the sales reps and administrators by using the Accounts as Campaign Members feature in Salesforce. This video will walk you through how to enable this feature, how your sales reps can add accounts to a campaign and then how you can create a report to pull the contacts related to the accounts the sales reps added to the campaign.
