Sustainable development, a concept that has been dominating public debates about socio-ecological challenges for decades, promised a simultaneous blossom of the people and the planet. However, inequality has risen to the highest level in recent years. Since 2015., we exceeded the carriable capacity of the planet in four of nine critical parameters. As a global society, we are additionally faced with multiple crises demanding systemic change.
📢✊ A fair transition involves fundamental changes, not just key economic branches and consumer systems, such as, for example. energy, transport, agriculture and food, but also changes in infrastructure, social values and politics.
