Information Design is the contemporary name for an ancient practice: using visual representations (diagrams, maps, graphs, etc.) to communicate information.
What makes a map truly useful? What other contributions can this discipline offer to teaching?
In this webinar, we'll explore what Information Design is all about and, through a selection of examples, discuss the potential of its principles to support reasoning, communication, learning, and inclusiveness. Finally, we'll focus on some key aspects of effective visual representation, leaving you with some ideas that can be implemented immediately.
We'll also present the FEM training program "Visualizing for Learning and Communicating: Information Design for Learning." We'll demonstrate how it can be adapted to all grade levels and its applicability to numerous educational contexts.
