Here's a step-by-step guide to shrinking a drive using Windows Disk Management:
Open Disk Management:
Press Win + X and select "Disk Management" from the menu.
Alternatively, you can right-click on the "This PC" (or "My Computer") icon, select "Manage," and then click on "Disk Management" under the "Storage" category.
Locate the Drive to Shrink:
In the lower section of the Disk Management window, you'll see a list of drives and their partitions. Find the drive you want to shrink.
Shrink the Drive:
Right-click on the partition you want to shrink (usually labeled "C:" or "D:") and select "Shrink Volume."
Specify the Amount to Shrink:
In the "Shrink" window, you'll see the total size before and after the shrink operation. Enter the amount you want to shrink the partition by in MB (1 GB = 1024 MB) in the "Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB" field.

You'll now see the partition size reduced and unallocated space created next to it. Right-click on the unallocated space and select "New Simple Volume" if you want to create a new partition with this space or right-click on another partition and select "Extend Volume" to add the unallocated space to an existing partition.
