This tutorial will show you how to copy artwork from one artboard into a new file. Which is different than just saving as a new file, which is what most tutorials seem to show you.
Here is what I wanted to do. I have got 4 different training modalities each have 6 workouts in them. I wanted to take 1 workout plan, from each of the training modalities to offer as a sample for my readers/clients/viewers and combine it into a new document consisting of 4 workouts.
As usual struggled to find a suitable tutorial, so I decided to figure it out myself. And create a tutorial for you guys to save you time.
Here are the steps
1. Have your artboard ready in new file
2.Go to the document you want copy the artwork from,
3. Use the artboard tool to select the artboard
4. In the menu bar click
6. Click all on active artboard
7. Clip edit/ Copy from the menu bar
8. Go to new document
9. Select artboard, then click paste in place
A step I missed out in the video, it would be a good idea whilst everything is still selected to click the black arrow tool and move everything into position as you want it. It's possible to 'select all' and move it later but it's just makes for more work.
