IMPORTING, RED FOOTAGE, PROXIES, OH MY! Premiere Pro Workflow
So you shot your awesome short film, now what!? Before we get slice’n and chopp’n, let's prep our footage by correctly importing it into Premiere Pro. Create proxies so our potato electronic movie-making box can play them and some extra nuggets of knowledge that will hopefully help y’all out. This is centered around RED 8k footage, but all the techniques translate to other types of footage. We dive into LUTS, Lumetri, Media Encoder, and the steps of creating a custom preset for proxies.
