This panel with MENA international artists explores the dynamics and artistic expressions of political theatre in the MENA region and in the diaspora. Artists will share their creative processes and the ways in which they navigate the intersections of politics, identity and theatre.
Questions panelists will explore include:
How does an artist's experience as a member of the diaspora influence their artistic process and the themes they explore in their work?
How can theatre serve as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between home-based artists and diaspora artists?
What opportunities do we have to create meaningful dialogue and address shared concerns?
What are the ethical considerations for diaspora artists when engaging in political theatre related to their cultures of origin?
